Yarn Ball Bobbin Carrousel
|

|

|
|
Here I have several pictures of my using a simple shoe carrousel (found at Walmart for $12.00) that holds all my yarn ball bobbins when doing a Word Chart.
For smaller projects I use a yarn table my son made me. It is on a lazy suzanne and works wonderful! Just pull the yarn through the plexiglass (9 holes on one side, 9 on the other) and you have yourself an wonderful tool to store your yarn. It also has a drawer in it to keep all my scissors, markers, tapestry needles, etc.

Owl Pillows (Crocodile stitch)6922 viewsThis is one of the very first stitches I used after doing my first afghan. Once you get the hang of it, it's so awesome! I have used it in many different patterns.

Rainbow Dolphin Word Chart6770 viewsI cannot believe I did this first (after the Bull's graphghan) as it was quite difficult with the many color changes! That is when I knew I had to find a better way to handle the tangled mess of bobbins.

Hooded Parrot blanket5885 viewsthis is an adult blanket. I use it at the Farmer's Market in the late fall when it is cold. I did not have a pattern for it, but used the owl pattern and then created the eyes and nose by looking at pictures. Colors are perfect for the parrot! I used Bernat Blanket yarn.

1st Stained Glass Cross Word Chart8182 viewsI used "I Love This Yarn" for this crocheted stained glass cross word chart. It was so much fun to do. I did two more. One using YarnBee (black fuzz tends to run through the white of the long cross part) and the other using Premier Everyday yarns. I did the last two in the colors listed in Revelations 21:18-21. (To the best of my ability.)

Hooded Cat Blanket8283 viewsEveryone loves these hooded animals. I have made so many blankets like this in the form of an owl, wolf, fox, parrot, and cat. Can't remember the latest one, but I did purchase the pattern. Oh yes... it is a skunk! I made some for our pastor's kids so they use them during the winter to wrap up in. The pattern says to use double strands. Well, why do that when there is Bernat Blanket Yarn! I love that yarn! It works up quickly and you can use 3 - 4 skeins of the large skeins to make it. Depending on size of child.

Hobby Horses11625 viewsI started out with a pattern and soon added things to make it more realistic. Loved ding these. I even made a "horse of a different color" and a Green Bay Packer one. These are such fun to do and simple once you begin.

iPad and Keyboard Bag7545 viewsI made this pattern up myself using Bernat Blanket yarn. I created it so the stand I have (it folds up) could sit along the side (inside of the case). The keyboard fit and I had a small pocket for the plugin adapter, and the iPad slipped right in. Behind the beak is a button that keeps the flap in place,Jun 24, 2018
