Hi, All
First, for anyone having any problems bringing up the freePatternWizard pattern creation software by using the top drop-down menu, feel free to Take This Link
Our showcase has been updated. If you've previously uploaded a showcase in the past, please check to see if it's been posted; meanwhile, if you want to submit one (or another one, if you've already posted before), feel free to do so!
Also note we now have an additional (optional) assembly page for the freePatternWizard. This is for larger pieces that have multiple pages. Much smaller patterns won't need this.
To freePatternWizard paid Premium subscribers having problems logging in:
If you're logged into your Stitchboard account (shows "Hi, name" in the upper right corner of each page), you can ignore the rest of this message.
If you're not logged into your Stitchboard account and you are a freePatternWizard paid Premium subscriber, please take this link one time to verify your subscription(s). It will also ask you to change your password. Again, you only need to do this once.
If you are not a paid Premium subscriber and are having problems logging in, try logging into the Stitchboard website. If you see an "Invalid login username or password" message, you may need to re-register at this link or by clicking the "Register" link at the top of the page. If you try re-registering and get a "duplicate email address" message, you'll need to go through the "password change" function by using this link.

I have made a cross-stitch project I have completed and would like to make a pattern of it to share with others
Am I able to do
that here? I tried "create a pattern" but it's requiring me to
upload a photo, is there a way around this (start with a blank grid
and add stitches manually)? Thanks so much!!Very excited to be here. I am a long time crocheter. I am looking for new ideas.
Welcome!

My best advice is to start small...I know, small graphs aren't as appealing, but it's good practice to start small and to see what graph crochet is like before embarking on a huge project that may end up daunting. I know that I don't like to start small, but I always regret it when I don't, like when I tried bead crochet and had so much trouble with the extra step of holding the beads, I almost gave up! But that's when I took a step back and started small...LOL, or big, in this case
, with a very small, simple pattern and pony
beads. It worked!
Yes, you're correct...a word chart does read like a crochet pattern with the colors.
For instance, if I had a pattern of 100
stitches with a big swath of red on one side and an equal swath of
blue on the other, the first row would read, "Red 50, blue 50," and
then on the following row, it would read, "Blue 50, red
50." So you're also correct that the turn is counted for
(though it doesn't actually say turn,
as it's assumed you already know how to crochet).|
