Eagle & Sunset4725 viewsThis was from a Dimensions pattern - that's right, a pattern, not a kit. I purchased a special color of fabric that was recommended for it. I love this pattern. I did have trouble with this fabric, though. I prefer not to use a hoop or frame (and Q-snaps weren't available at the time), and I had to use a frame to stitch this. I fought with it a lot, though I'm happy with the end result. You can't see, but there are tiny, tiny beads stitched on the fabric to represent stars (in addition to the stars stitched with blending filament).

Dolphin Name Tag4722 viewsThis is the only one in this album which didn't come from a kit. It's a dolphin name tag created from a pattern in Mary Hickmott's New Stitches. IIRC, I found a cross stitch alphabet that I liked and plotted the letters for my name in the middle. (I don't remember if one was supposed to put a name in the middle.)
